When I decided to look for an alternative to gold for the manufacture of my pieces, I thought right away in bronze. It was an immediate connection, an antique material, with something ancestral; no reason why it was one of the first materials used by humankind.
Bronze is a living material that changes in time assuming various shades and different colors which makes of it unique on its kind. With the human intervention, some other aspects of this intrinsic uniqueness were accentuated through different techniques such as: acidulation, brushing, beating and many others. It was in this way I started making unique and special pieces like the ones in gold by trying to highlight these characteristics and matching stones and materials that accentuated the contrast.
